Counselor/SGL (>=18yrs old)* - Counselors are charged with supervising campers and coordinating their daily activities. In a sleep-away camp setting, counselors are assigned to cabins and a specific group of campers that they are responsible for during the duration of the camp program. Counselors mediate conflict between campers, deal with homesickness and generally attend to the welfare of each camper. Counselors lead the small group times for their group and participate in group activities. *Volunteers in these areas will need to stay the entire time of camp.
Junior Counselor (<18yrs old)* - Junior counselors are charged with assisting the head counselor at whatever capacity they work out together. They are responsible for accountability and managing the group whenever the counselor has to step away as well as enforcing the rules when needed. *Volunteers in these areas will need to stay the entire time of camp.
Food/Kitchen Assistant - Camp kitchen assistants feed campers during the duration of the camp program. This involves preparing meals or snacks, providing meals each day. The position requires the ability to prepare large quantities of food in short order.
Area Chaperone - Area chaperones will work in partnership with the director to ensure that campers have a fun and safe experience. The camp grounds are a large area and specific areas will need to be monitored during activities and free times. They may also be needed as additional help for counselors during emergency or unplanned situations.
Game Monitor - Prepares, monitors, and explains the large group games. Ensures materials and equipment are in the correct area during the allotted times defined by the camp director.
Cleaning Crew - The cleaning crew oversees small cleaning jobs throughout the day, such as dusting and emptying garbage bins. They also perform more extensive cleaning at designated times. They may be assigned special tasks, such as cleaning before or after a big project.
Security - Periodically patrols buildings and grounds. Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property; inspecting buildings, equipment and access points; permitting entry.
Camp Fire Marshall - Prepares, monitors, and manages the campfire for each night of camp.
Media Director - The media director will take pictures of people, settings, events and objects. They will use their artistic and technical skills to create images of the campers experience. After pictures are complete, the photographer will provide the images to the director.
